Aubrey
Director of Client Experience/ Personal Trainer/ Group Training Coach
Hi everyone! I’m Aubrey, a Health/Fitness Specialist and Personal Trainer. I recently graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Most of my college career was spent taking nursing school prerequisites, until I quickly realized that nursing was not the career path for me. I switched my major to Kinesiology during my junior year and it has only been upwards since. I started my fitness career working for UMD Recreation & Wellness as a Weight/Fitness Staff member; engaging and motivating college students and professors. I’ve spent my time learning more about weightlifting while simultaneously continuing my love for running. Additionally, I began an internship with Aquila, Ltd at NASA. This was a virtual internship during Covid, and throughout this experience was able to learn how to teach classes and train clients hybridly.
After graduation, I became a Regional Health & Fitness Specialist with Aquila Ltd. I traveled around the DMV area to teach various group exercise classes and engage in personal training at government facilities. I hold an American Council of Exercise Certified Personal Training certification, CPR/AED certification, and am working towards becoming a Nutrition Specialist.
As a Health & Fitness Specialist, I learned a big heart and a positive attitude is already a start to changing people’s lives. I understand the feeling of “gymtimidation” and my goal as a personal trainer is to make sure all my clients experience a welcoming and positive environment. I’m excited to spend more time at PFP and to have the privilege of training you all!
Here’s to a healthy life.

Hello everyone my name is Joe Bromley and I’m super excited to be here at Prepare for Performance helping you all meet your health and fitness goals!
I am from Silver Spring Maryland and have been involved with sports in some form or another as long as I can remember.
Growing up, I mainly gravitated towards football and basketball which taught me about being a valuable member of a team, discipline and the importance of having a positive attitude.
I attended St. John’s College High School where I played football for four years and rugby my senior year where I was privileged to serve as team captain. I remember the workouts coming into my freshman year being difficult because I was definitely on the smaller side compared to many other kids. However, with the guidance of the coaches, I was able to learn about the importance of perseverance.
I was also introduced to formal strength and conditioning programing which opened my eyes to the idea of evidence based program design. After High School, I attended Salisbury University where I received a B.S in exercise science as well as being a member of the rugby team. As part of the rugby team, I was privileged with the opportunity to be a key contributor for my junior and senior years(the first two years were wiped out due to the pandemic). I had to overcome multiple obstacles such as dislocating my right shoulder 3 times, not having access to the resources that ncaa sports have(rugby is a club sport) and balancing schoolwork rugby and a job. I was fortunate enough to play a significant role in our teams run to the national championship my junior year where I was voted unsung hero of the team and led the team with most points scored as well as starting every game my junior and senior years. I credit this success to a consistent work ethic, positive mindset and evidence based training protocols. In terms of education, my professors throughly educated me on not just anatomy and physiology but also on practical applications to both sport performance as well as general population fitness and special population fitness(elderly, children and those with chronic disease).
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors hiking and crabbing in the summer and hunting in the fall and of course working out. I also enjoy watching sports particularly the local professional teams and stressing over my fantasy football team.
With that being said, I’m super excited to be helping you all reach your goals. Exercise has the been the catalyst for many positive changes in my life and I hope to use exercise to affect positive changes in your lives as well!
